My favourite hack that will allow you to start each and every day with the right mindset, is to take a look at your password. That’s right, have you ever stopped to wonder how many times a day you submit your password? Whether it be on your phone or computer it’s most likely upwards of 25+ times per day.
What is your current password? Is it helping you feel energised or weighing you down? When I was young and into rockclimbing – my password was “I climb rocks”, then as I became a mum it was “I have 3 kids”. These were both perfectly fine passwords but they absolutely defined who I was. So imagine your password was “I love cake”, but you really wanted to loose weight. Each time you logged in you would be reminded of how much you love cake. Then by the 25th time of typing this you would probably go to the kitchen and eat cake.
Imagine if you changed your password to an uplifting quote. What impact do you think this would have on your mindset?
A couple of years ago I implemented this approach and have never looked back. My positive password ensures that each time I switch on my computer, I show up with the best of intent and I am excited to tackle the day ahead. I have also used it to set my intention for the month so I stay focused on working towards my goals.
Here are two positive quotes and how they can be converted into a password that your computer system will also love.
