People have been styling their homes with indoor plants for as long as I can remember. But did you know that in addition to looking good, plants can have a positive impact on your health? They help reduce air toxins, but did you also know that the right plant in the right room can have other health benefits. Today I share with you 3 of my favourite bedroom plants that can help you sleep better!
Jasmine plants are quite easy to keep in a pot and look great in bedrooms. They give off a sweet scent that is often used in its essential oil form for relaxation. Studies show this scent is linked to reduced anxiety levels and also improved sleep quality.
A valerian plant will look beautiful in your bedroom thanks to its small pink and white flowers. It also gives off a sweet scent. Valerian plants have been used for centuries to help with sleep problems including insomnia. Inhaling the scent of valerian root has been shown to induce sleep and improve the quality of sleep. If you’re struggling to sleep, add a few petals to your bath or take a sniff before you get into bed.
The aromas from a Lavender plant can also help you experience the perfect nights sleep! Although more commonly grown outdoors, it’s hardy nature makes it a good indoor plant too! Lavender’s aroma has been proven to lower heart rate, blood pressure and stress levels and It’s one of the most renowned plants that help you sleep.
To be rewarded with better sleep for years to come be sure to place each of these bedroom plants on a sunny windowsill as they all like warmth and sunlight!
